At Syracuse University recently, two AWESOME leaders were presented with prestigious Salzberg Medallions, and an AWESOME Scholar was recognized as the University’s outstanding supply chain management undergraduate. The presentations coincided with the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Martin J. Whitman School of Management’s H.H. Medical leaders group hears Ann Drake’s views on women’s networks

AWESOME founder Ann Drake spoke recently to a meeting of the Northwestern Medicine Women’s Leadership Group (NM WLG). Northwestern Medicine has four hospitals, including Northwestern Memorial Hospital, an academic center in downtown Chicago that was named the No. 1 hospital in Illinois by U.S. News & World Report. Kathy Wengel receives DSA Award at CSCMP EDGE

Leaders honored for professional and personal accomplishments

At the recent North American Supply Chain Executive Summit, one of the top awards presented was the Supply Chain Recognition Award. Ann Drake, AWESOME founder and Chairman of the Advisory Board of DSC Logistics, received the award, and Barb Schwarzentraub, Director in Global Information Services at Caterpillar, Inc., and an AWESOME Advisor, was a finalist. AWESOME leaders take part in Ocean Plastics Leadership Summit

Four AWESOME leaders joined an expedition to get a rare look at the collection of plastic waste in the North Atlantic gyre off the coast of Bermuda. The participants of the “Ocean Plastics Leadership Summit,” numbering approximately 140, included plastics industry executives from all parts of the supply chain, ranging from petrochemical producers, plastics packagers, consumer packaged goods, and logistics providers, as well as individuals representing NGOs, media and think tanks.
