Roz Brewer, Starbucks COO, will be interviewed in an Up-Close Conversation on opening day of the seventh annual AWESOME Symposium – Reaching Beyond and Achieving More. Starbucks is Host Partner of the Symposium which takes place May 1-3 in Seattle. Another highlight of Day One is an Out in Front talk by Jane Stevenson, Vice Chairman, Board & CEO Services for Korn Ferry.
Roz Brewer, who is often referred to as a “game changer,” is on Fortune’s roster of Most Powerful Women, and Nation’s Restaurant News recently named her to their Power List 2019. Prior to joining Starbucks, Roz served as President and CEO of Sam’s Club, one of the nation’s largest retailers.
In addition to her role as Vice Chairman, Jane Stevenson is a project leader for the Korn Ferry Institute’s research on women CEOs. She recently led an innovative research initiative with the Rockefeller Foundation’s “100×25” program, geared to advancing 100 women into F500 CEO ranks by 2025. The work includes in-depth interviews and assessments with more than 55 current and recent Fortune 1000 women CEOs. Insights gained in that research are being applied to create a “roadmap” for companies to create future generations of women CEOs.
At the AWESOME Symposium, Jane will explore the personal and professional factors that enable success. She is also the co-author of Breaking Away: How Great Leaders Create Innovation that Drives Sustainable Growth and will talk about how companies can proactively close the innovation and gender gaps simultaneously.
