Ann Drake, CEO of DSC Logistics and founder of AWESOME, is interviewed in a SupplyChainBrain video about the evolution of strategic partnerships. She talks about the hallmarks of today’s strategic partnership, including the importance of “information flow,” in which the logistics provider takes information collected through the supply chain operation and from the customer, and returns it with analysis and interpretation.
Nancy Nix, who was AWESOME’s Executive Director from 2014 through 2017, was interviewed in Supply Chain Quarterly as the 2017 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). Nancy’s message in the interview, as it was in her award acceptance remarks, is about the power of saying yes: Taking advantage of opportunities to learn something new, even if it leads you into unfamiliar territory, can open up even more opportunities in the future.
Ann and Nancy are the first and only two women to receive the prestigious CSCMP Award – Ann in 2012 and Nancy in 2017.
