MD_KWSince 2009, the Thinkers & Movers Award has recognized extraordinary leaders who think outside the box and influence supply chain practices. This year’s honorees, both leading executives with health care companies, accepted their awards at a special reception with a view of San Diego city lights and a harvest moon. Ann Drake, CEO of DSC Logistics, presented the award, which was created by DSC, to Mike Duffy, President, Medical Products, Cardinal Health, and Kathy Wengel, VP, Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain (JJSC).

Mike Duffy was praised for his passion for the profession, his broad background in all areas of health care operations, his advocacy of collaboration and strong supply chain partnerships, and his role as a champion of more diverse leadership.

Kathy Wengel was described as a visionary and transformational leader, rallying her team and entire organization around quality and excellence and serving as a role model and standard-bearer for advancing women’s supply chain leadership.

The Thinkers & Movers Award presentation takes place annually in conjunction with the CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals) Conference.
