Sheila Penrose is Chairman of the Board of JLL Inc., a F200 global real estate services company, and serves on the board of McDonald’s Corp., where she chairs the Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility Committee.
Sheila was the first woman on Northern Trust Corporation’s Management Committee as President of Corporate and Institutional Services, and then served as Executive Advisor to Boston Consulting Group. Earlier in her career, she was Economic Advisor at the British Treasury.
Sheila is Co-Chairman of Corporate Leadership Center and Trustee of Rush University Medical Center and the Museum of Science and Industry, among other organizations.
She received an economics degree and graduate diploma in education from the University of Birmingham in England; a master’s degree from the London School of Economics; and attended the Executive Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business. She later served on advisory boards for both LSE and Stanford.
Sheila is a founding member of the 30% Club in the US, which advances women on corporate boards, and she serves on the steering committees of both the Community of Corporate Chairmen and the Education, Gender and Work Initiative at the World Economic Forum.
