Mary Long will lead USD’s Supply Chain Management Institute

mlong_advThe University of San Diego has named Mary Long, an AWESOME Advisor, as Managing Director of its Supply Chain Management Institute (SCMI). She was formerly Vice President of Logistics and Network Planning with Domino’s Pizza. Her career also includes 15 different supply chain roles for Campbell Soup, General Mills, Pillsbury, Quaker Oaks/Gatorade, and other companies.

In addition to her new role at USD, Mary is incoming chair for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Board of Directors and serves on the editorial board of Supply Chain Quarterly.

In announcing Mary’s selection, Jaime Alonso Gómez, dean of USD’s School of Business, said Mary’s “performance, knowledge and talent will be an asset to the SCMI and to the School of Business as a whole.” 

The Supply Chain Management Institute, which was created in 1999, supports the development of exceptional professionals and shares its insights and best practices through graduate web-based programs, residence programs, executive education and semi-annual forums.
