Lillian Dukes named VP, Business Operations – Global Customer Support and Services at Spirit AeroSystems

Dukes_Lillian-photoLillian Dukes, one of our AWESOME Advisors, has been named Vice President of Business Operations – Global Customer Support and Services at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. in Wichita, KS. In her new role, she is responsible for aftermarket business and customer relationships, customer service, technical support, supply chain, logistics and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO).

Lillian has over 20 years of leadership in the aerospace industry, most recently as Vice President, Global Operations Supply Chain for Beechcraft Corporation. Prior to Beechcraft, Lillian held various leadership positions in Purchasing, Inventory Control, Engineering, Component Maintenance and Production Control with the American Airlines Maintenance and Engineering Organization.

She left American to become Director of Technical Services for Midwest Airlines and then Vice President of Maintenance for Independence Air before joining American Eagle Airlines as Vice President of Technical Services and Vice President of Heavy Maintenance.

Lillian earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Carnegie-Mellon University and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University. She has spoken internationally on issues facing maintenance organizations within the airlines industry and has continued to mentor students and employees in their professional growth.​

Lillian participated in the 2013 AWESOME Symposium on a panel of top women in supply chain, focused on emerging challenges and the qualities leaders will need to meet those challenges.
