A recent “Boot Camp” at TCU – which offered first-year students pursuing an MBA at TCU’s Neely School of Business insights into a career in supply chain management – included a talk by Kirsten Castillo, AWESOME’s Director of Member Engagement.

Kirsten, who has nearly 25 years of supply chain and operations management experience, talked about her own career journey and what she learned along the way. She also described the founding of AWESOME by Ann Drake and the role Nancy Nix, the former Executive Director of TCU’s EMBA Program and Executive Director Emeritus of AWESOME, has played in the growth and success of AWESOME.

Emphasizing the importance of life-long learning, Kirsten encouraged the students to look for opportunities to take on assignments that would expand their knowledge base and help them develop new skills.

Boot camps at TCU were designed to give prospective MBAs the opportunity to connect with industry experts in their area of concentration.
