Kathy Wengel, EVP & Chief Global Supply Chain Officer for Johnson & Johnson, participated in panel discussions at both the B20 (Business 20) and the W20 (Women 20) Forums held in Argentina. B20 and W20 are official engagement groups that preceded the November G20 Summit and offered recommendations to that group.

G20 (The Group of Twenty) is a global forum comprised of twenty of the world’s largest economies, focused on addressing global economic challenges. Its membership includes nineteen countries—Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States—and the European Union.

According to Kathy’s LinkedIn post about her role at the forums, “I traveled there on behalf of my company to ensure healthcare is front and center when world leaders meet to discuss how to sustain prosperity around the world.”

She wrote “Our panel agreed that transparency is the only way to build the foundation of trust that is necessary in healthcare, and critical more broadly to support sustainable economic expansion and political stability.”

Another key point emphasized by Kathy is “Everyone – men and women from all backgrounds – must be empowered to bring the most creative and productivity-enhancing solutions to government, business and society.”
