Jody Starcher, Director, Corporate Warehousing & Customer Initiatives, for The J.M. Smucker Company is a key member of the supply chain team that recently received the first Thinkers & Movers Team Award. Since 2009, when DSC Logistics created the award to recognize outstanding thought leaders and practice leaders in the supply chain field, it has been presented to individual practitioners, educators and authors — but never before to an entire team.
In presenting the Thinkers & Movers Award, DSC CEO Ann Drake said, “The J.M. Smucker Company supply chain team has been ahead of the curve and taken the idea of ‘supply chain partnership’ to a deeper, stronger, more effective level. They actually put into action the ideals of seamless collaboration, open communication, shared goals and trust. The award was presented at a special reception on Monday, September 23, in conjunction with CSCMP’s annual global conference in San Antonio, Texas.
