Joanne Wright

Joanne Wright is chief operating officer and vice president of IBM’s Enterprise Operations and Services where she leads IBM’s transformation to a data-driven cognitive enterprise.

In this role, she is responsible for redesigning IBM’s operating model and driving end-to-end digital solutions. She strategizes and implements transformative tactics that have increased speed and agility throughout the enterprise, while accelerating the value that IBM’s business brings to customers, partners, and employees.

Previously, Joanne was chief operating officer of IBM’s Supply Chain responsible for strategy, execution and transformation of IBM’s global, end to end supply chain, delivering to clients across more than 170 countries. In this role, she led the introduction of cognitive technology for a transparent, intelligent and predictive supply chain in partnership with Watson.

Joanne continues to accelerate IBM’s transformation through leadership, global talent development and building a culture of engagement, agility and innovation. Her leadership and expertise were instrumental in driving the integration of pre and post-sales operations, managing $79 billion of IBM’s revenue.

Along with her current role at IBM, Joanne is a member of IBM’s Acceleration Team, the Executive Sponsor of Global Women of IBM and a member of Women in Technology International. She is also an executive board member of Supply Chain Leaders in Action, serves on advisory board of University of Tennessee GSCI, and is one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Next Gen.

She is a graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, with a BA Honors degree in Business and Marketing and holds a Diploma in Procurement Management from Strathclyde University, Scotland.

Outside of work, Joanne enjoys spending time with her 13-year-old twins, Austin and Hope, in addition to pursuing her love for tennis, swimming and cooking. She has become an active member of Brookfield Parent Teacher Organization and Brookfield Soccer Team and serves on the board of the United Way of Westchester-Putnam to help strengthen the community.
