J&J names Kathy Wengel Chief Global Supply Chain Officer

Kathy Wengel, an AWESOME Advisor and recipient of the 2014 AWESOME Legendary Leadership (ALL) Award, has been named Executive Vice President, Chief Global Supply Chain Officer, Johnson & Johnson. She will also serve on the Executive Committee. Previously, she was Worldwide Vice President, J&J Supply Chain.

During Kathy’s three decades with Johnson & Johnson, she has served in a variety of strategic leadership and executive roles, with increasing responsibility across the enterprise including operations, quality, new products, engineering/technical and business roles, Kathy has spent more than half of her career living and working outside the US.

In addition to her role as an AWESOME Advisor, Kathy is a member of the SCM World Future of Healthcare Board and the National Association of Manufacturers and is Vice-Chair of the Global Management Board of GS1, a federation of 112 countries working to drive global standards. Kathy also has served as executive sponsor for J&J’s Women’s Leadership Initiative and the leader of J&J’s Women in Science Technology, Math, Manufacturing and Design (WiSTEM2D) program.

J&J also has announced that Sandi Peterson, who participated in an Up-Close Conversation at the 2015 AWESOME Symposium hosted at J&J World Headquarters, is retiring as Group Worldwide Chairman.
