According to an article in Forbes covering key takeaways from the report, the main finding is that logistics costs are up. The author of the article, Steve Banker, VP of Supply Chain Services at ARC Advisory Group, offers as reasons for higher supply chain costs: the growth of e-commerce, retailers building more and smaller warehouses to compete with Amazon, high utilization of the truck fleet; tight U.S. labor market; and uncertainty over tariffs.
