The report continues, “While discussions of innovation often focus on new products, those innovations also tend to be the easiest to imitate. Business model innovations can have much greater impacts for supply chains in areas such as reinventing networks, processes, services and channels.”

On Deloitte’s website,  you’ll find a collection of analytical reports on supply chain topics. The reports distinguishes between “supply chain leaders” and “supply chain followers” in terms of service and inventory turns and gives specific differences in how those two groups think and act.
