Heather Sheehan, Executive Director of AWESOME will be honored as the Outstanding Woman in Supply Chain on April 10 at the Global Supply Chain Institute at the University of Tennessee Knoxville’s Haslam College of Business. The award, recognizing an outstanding role model, is given by the NeXxus Chapter at the University.
NeXxus is a student organization with a mission of increasing awareness of the supply chain major and career opportunities for female students. The group creates opportunities for female SCM students to network with SCM professionals; provides mentoring opportunities between students and SCM practitioners; builds confidence in female students, creating future leaders in the SCM profession; and educates female students about exciting career opportunities in SCM.
Heather became Executive Director in 2018, after serving as AWESOME’s Director of Member Engagement & Sponsorships for two years. Formerly she was Vice President Indirect Sourcing and Logistics for Danaher Corporation and is also the owner of Crispy Concepts LLC where she consults on leadership and supply chain. She was a recipient of the AWESOME Legendary Leadership (ALL) Award in 2014, the first year the award was presented.
