Sponsors Benefit from Best Practice Session
As one component of their sponsorship benefits, AWESOME’s Partner and Champion sponsors participated in a four-hour best practice session on May 9, opening day of the 2018 Symposium. This is the second year this type of facilitated discussion has taken place – this year, on the topics of diversity & inclusion, sustainability, and supply chain innovation & advanced technologies.
Participants included representatives from Host Partner JDA, Founding Partner DSC Logistics, and AWESOME Champions Johnson & Johnson, McDonald’s, and NIKE. The session was facilitated by Kelsey Carvell, a senior project leader at Deloitte Consulting.
“Based on the level of participation and positive feedback we’ve received, we look forward to continuing to offer this session at future Symposiums,” said Heather Sheehan, Executive Director. “It’s a unique opportunity for these companies that don’t intersect otherwise to take a deeper dive into issues and challenges that they all face.”
Participants reported that the diversity of experience represented and the cross-section of business functions represented added value to the discussion. They also appreciated the size of the group and being in an environment that permitted candid and meaningful discussion.
