EMERGING LEADERS

Emerging Leaders – high-performing / high potential women in supply chain leadership roles who do not yet meet the AWESOME criteria — attend the Symposium on the recommendation of a senior leader.

On Wednesday, May 3, the Symposium experience for Emerging Leaders begins with check-in starting at 4:30 pm. Then at 5:30 pm, they will join senior leaders for the AWESOME Legendary Leadership (ALL) Award reception and dinner. On Thursday, May 4, Emerging Leaders will participate in a special leadership development program designed to help them gain new insights and skills focused on strengthening their brand, broadening their impact, and advancing their careers. Emerging Leaders will join senior leaders for other networking elements of the Symposium and also may sign up for optional activities on Friday, May 5.

Senior Leaders may recommend an Emerging Leader during the Registration process. Please submit recommendations early, as Emerging Leader spots are limited.

Emerging Leader Symposium rates:

    Regular Symposium rate (after February 15, 2017) is $550
    Late Registration rate (after April 1, 2017) is $650

1871 – Chicago’s Center for Technology and Entrepreneurship

During this tour, you will see 1871’s creative workspace design and learn about the educational programs, incubators and accelerators they offer to aspiring entrepreneurs. You will also meet outstanding women who are leading successful new business ventures.

Chicago Architecture Foundation / Architectural Tour — Evolution of Skyscrapers
Chicago is known for building some of the world’s first skyscrapers, but how have their designs and technologies changed over time? On this guided walking tour, explore everything from classic buildings to super-tall highrises to discover how each one is representative of major developments in architectural technology and design from 1872 to the present. See how architects adapted building styles to meet the fashions of their era and used cutting-edge engineering to build taller than ever before. This tour is an enticing overview which introduces you to the bigger stories of Chicago architecture.

United Airlines Network Operations Center — This option has been filled. Please choose one of the other two unique tours.
This tour will give you an inside look at the United Airlines Network Operations Center (NOC) located in downtown Chicago, the most sophisticated and technologically advanced nerve center in the airline industry. In 2015 the NOC operated more than 1.6 million flights carrying more than 147 million passengers. You will also have a chance to meet women of United and hear their stories.
