– Michele Roberts, new Executive Director of the Professional Basketball Players Association and first woman to lead a North American professional sports union, in a recent article in the New York Times entitled “Michele Roberts…Confronts Gender Barriers.”

In the NYT article, she’s also quoted as saying, “My past is littered with the bones of men who were foolish enough to think I was someone they could sleep on.” (New York Times paraphrases “…who were foolish enough to think I was someone they could sleep on” as “…who underestimated me.”)
