In a continuing collaboration with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), AWESOME women are sharing their expertise and leadership knowledge as industry leaders at the global conference of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) September 27-30 in San Diego. On Monday, September 28, two sessions will feature a panel line-up powered by AWESOME. This will be the third year AWESOME has provided content featuring AWESOME leaders for CSCMP’s global conference.
AWESOME also will hold its signature networking reception on Sunday, September 27. Details will be announced soon.
On Monday, September 28, from 10:30-11:45 a.m., AWESOME’s first conference session is Women in the C-Suite: Leadership Lessons from the Top. In this session, top women supply chain leaders will share their perspectives on skills required for success in the C-Suite. They’ll also address challenges uniquely faced by women as they progress to senior levels and common misconceptions and real barriers that prevent both men and women from achieving their full leadership potential.
Members of that panel include Ann Drake, CEO, DSC Logistics; Debbie Lentz, SVP, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Toys“R”Us; and Kathy Wengel, VP, Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain (JJSC). Moderator for the session is Dr. Nancy Nix, Executive Director, AWESOME
The second session powered by AWESOME is also on Monday, from 3:45-5 p.m. The topic is The Importance of Diversity in Strategic Sourcing.
Experts will discuss why formal diversity programming, including supplier diversity is elemental to a company’s success and will share how to build competitive diversity programs, scorecards, and try new approaches.
Panel members include Anu Hans, Group CPO & VP Pharmaceuticals, Johnson & Johnson; Cathy Kutch, Director of Supplier Relations and Diversity, Kellogg Company; and Eugene Campbell, VP of Supplier Diversity, The Walt Disney Company.
