AWESOME Advisor Susan Pellechio was interviewed recently in a fireside chat with Mark Yeager, CEO of Redwood Logistics at an event for “Women in Logistics.” Susan was asked about her own career, which started in finance and moved into supply chain positions for Staples, Starbucks, and currently C&S Wholesale Grocers, where she is SVP of Transportation. The conversation focused on the importance of the supply chain in today’s global economy, where Susan believes “we are in the middle of what makes the economy run.” She also was asked whether women are making progress and reaching leadership roles in the field. Responding “It’s critical that women are part of the equation,” she went on to support the importance of leadership diversity with some of the current research.
