Strengthening Women’s leadership in supply chain is the subject of a report issued by AWESOME, an initiative launched in January 2013 by Ann Drake, CEO of DSC Logistics. The report, Reality Check: What We Now Know, is based on the presentations and conversations recorded at the first AWESOME Symposium in May.
February 2014—AWESOME, an initiative created to advance women leaders in supply chain, has selected 15 women in various supply chain leadership roles to serve as Advisors in helping to shape the future of the initiative.

April 2014—AWESOME, the initiative launched in early 2013 to advance women supply chain leaders, will hold its second annual Symposium on Thursday, May 15, in Chicago. With the theme of “Accelerate AWESOME,” women who are senior director level and above in supply chain roles are being invited to participate in a day of networking, collaboration and learning.

At the first annual AWESOME (Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management and Operations) Symposium on May 9, 2013, four leading supply chain executives participated on a panel focused on emerging challenges and the qualities leaders will need to meet those challenges.
