Kathy Wengel, VP, Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain (JJSC) and co-host of the 2015 AWESOME Symposium, set the stage for “AWESOME in Action” with statistics about women’s supply chain leadership. Ann Drake, CEO, DSC Logistics, Wengel’s co-host and founder of AWESOME also welcomed participants.

The statistics cited by Wengel are from research by Gartner, a technology research and advisory company. Gartner research found that

Wengel said “Through AWESOME’s efforts since its inception, we’ve established the case for change in the supply chain function – both present and future for women. We’ve also identified a variety of catalysts for change – and I’m looking at the most compelling catalysts, at this very moment – all of you.”
