Each February, we come together as a nation to honor and celebrate the Black American experience, both past and present, during Black History Month. It is a time for us to examine and reflect upon the full scope of Black history in America—from the trials and tribulations to the triumphs and successes.

Black History Month is critically important, not just for us at AWESOME, but for the entire nation. That’s why we encourage our community of women leaders to be intentional this month…to celebrate the invaluable contributions and accomplishments of Black Americans, while reflecting on the many sacrifices and tragedies their community has endured.
