The fourth AWESOME regional event, to be held the evening of March 7 in Chicago, will provide an opportunity for leading women in supply chain to address in a small-group setting the topic of building strategic relationships that are essential to successful leadership. The sponsor of the event is Hassett Express.
Content for the program will include information and insights developed by Stanford University’s Women’s Leadership Innovation Lab. According to Herminia Ibarra, Professor of Organizational Behavior at INSEAD Business School, who is featured in the video participants will view before the event, strategic networks are “what allow you to generate new ideas, to get the information and support you need and to expand your influence.” Building a strong strategic network is challenging for anybody but it can be particularly challenging for women, especially in male-dominated organizations and fields, but there are effective strategies.
Invitations will be emailed to AWESOME leaders. Previous regional events have been held in Dallas, San Francisco, and Atlanta.
