At the CSCMP Global Conference in San Antonio on September 21-24, AWESOME will provide new opportunities for networking, learning and collaboration around women’s supply chain leadership. The kick-off event will be AWESOME’s reception on Sunday, September 21, at 7:30 p.m. on the San Antonio Riverwalk at Biga on the Banks.
In response to the interest in the AWESOME (Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management and Education) Initiative and women’s leadership topics at last year’s 2013 CSCMP Global Confrence in Denver, AWESOME has collaborated with CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals) to plan a six-session Diversity and Inclusion Track for the 2014 conference in San Antonio. This Track features the power and value of bringing different perspectives together, both inside and across companies to design, implement and lead the successful supply chain of the 21st century. Sessions will include leading-edge thoughts on women’s leadership development, the varying cultural norms of men and women, and the criticality of global diversity in today’s effective supply chain leadership.
