AWESOME leaders are speakers at first “Women in Supply Chain Summit” held by MIT

The MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics has launched a new initiative to support the professional growth of women in supply chain. The first of a planned series of summits was held on March 26-27 in Boston. AWESOME Advisor Maria Nieradka, Principal of Three Lions Consulting, was featured as a speaker leading into a discussion on Filling the Talent Gap, and Dana Stiffler, Managing Partner of Gartner, spoke about Mentorship, Sponsorship and Networking.

In addition to the sessions powered by AWESOME, there were discussions on the topics of Balance in the Supply Chain and Leading Global Teams, as well as several group activities.

The Summit was organized by Katie Date, Manager of Corporate & SCALE Network Outreach for the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics. Katie, who is a member of the AWESOME community, also served as moderator for several sessions.
