The AWESOME/Gartner “2017 Women in Supply Chain” survey will be launched the week of February 20. The survey will be sent to supply chain leaders in manufacturing, retail, or other companies managing complex supply chains. AWESOME leaders who receive the survey are encouraged to respond promptly so their responses can be included.
The survey will provide insights about progress made over the past year, as well as about the enablers toward progress or challenges companies face as they work to advance women leaders in supply chain.
Research findings will be presented at the AWESOME’s Fifth Anniversary Symposium held in downtown Chicago on May 3-5, 2017.
Results of the first survey, a collaboration of AWESOME and Gartner, were reported at the 2016 Symposium and one-on-one interviews were conducted as a follow-up. An article focusing on the business case for companies to advance women leaders in supply chain and the results of the 2016 survey was published in September 2016 in Supply Chain Management Review (SCMR). The article was written by Dr. Nancy Nix, AWESOME Executive Director, and Dana Stiffler, Research Vice President at Gartner.
