Betsey Nohe, whose career at Morton Salt spanned 10 years – most recently as Vice President Supply Chain, Quality and R&D, Americas – is beginning a new professional venture as Executive Supply Chain Partner (ESCP) with Gartner. Over the past two years, while fulfilling those responsibilities with Morton, Betsey earned both a master’s degree and a PhD in Philosophy.

Prior to joining Morton Salt, Betsey — who has served in the AWESOME Board of Advisors since 2019 — worked for McCormick & Company for 24 years, joining the company after earning a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers.  At McCormick, she held a variety of logistics, warehousing, customer service, planning, scheduling, manufacturing, procurement, IT, and internal consulting positions, culminating in five years as Vice President Supply Chain Planning & Customer Fulfillment, U.S. Consumer Products. Early in her McCormick career, she earned an MBA from Loyola University Maryland.

Betsey said she’s very excited to be joining Gartner as an Executive Supply Chain Partner. “I feel that with my 30-plus years of experience as a practitioner along with my education, I will be able to act as a thought partner to my CSCO clients helping them develop the strategies and actions that will be a catalyst in advancing their organizations in a very dynamic environment.” She added, “It’s a great and important time to be in the supply chain.”

On a personal note, Betsey and her husband recently celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary (according to Betsey, “the benefit of marrying young!”) She said, “We are so fortunate to have three grandchildren; two of whom were born this year! We are having a beautiful old colonial revival home in a historic area of Baltimore completely renovated — respecting the house’s 1904 heritage while bringing it to today’s standards. We hope to be finished next spring and then we will relocate from Chicago back to Baltimore.”
