Cady Coleman, former NASA astronaut who spent six months aboard the International Space Station, recently spent time with members of the team at AWESOME’s new headquarters in Chicago. At the 2019 AWESOME Symposium, in the “Out in Front with Cady Coleman,” she talked about her experiences in experimentation, innovation, problem-solving and teamwork that translate into leadership lessons.
In addition to logging in nearly 4,500 hours and 180 days in space, Cady has a doctorate in polymer science and engineering from University of Massachusetts Amherst and a BS in Chemistry from MIT. Aboard the International Space Station (ISS), she acted as the Lead Robotics and Lead Science Officer and performed the second-ever robotic capture of a supply ship from the station.
The Chicago office of AWESOME opened on January 1, 2020.
