The Tippie Women Summit, sponsored by the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, featured Ann Drake, founder of AWESOME and CEO of DSC Logistics, as keynote speaker. An article in the Cedar Rapids Gazette, covered highlights of her talk.
Ann returned to her undergrad alma mater for the Summit to encourage students at the UI Tippie College of Business to have confidence in themselves despite obstacles they may face. She said joining women’s networks and finding that other women had experienced some of the same things, helped boost her own confidence. The event also was attended by UI faculty members and local businesswomen.
