Ann Drake receives global award from International Women’s Forum

Ann Drake, CEO of DSC Logistics and founder of AWESOME, is one of eight women presented with the 2014 Women Who Make a Difference Award at the International Women’s Forum (IWF) World Leadership Conference in October. The award is given to women who are recognized as exemplary role models for women’s progress and development, demonstrate a track record of outstanding achievements, are highly respected in their professional fields and are publicly recognized for contributions to the community.

The International Women’s Forum, founded in 1982 and currently with a membership of 6,000 women from 33 countries, advances leadership across careers, cultures, and continents by connecting the world’s most preeminent women of significant and diverse achievements.

According to Sara Sirotsky, president of IWF Chicago, “Ann is an extraordinary business leader, a thought leader in her industry, a leader in civic and professional organizations, and a dedicated role model, mentor and proponent for women.”
