Achieving AWESOME Momentum
The AWESOME initiative would not be where it is today without two groups of women: Supply chain leaders from throughout the industry who’ve stepped up and become involved in AWESOME. And the team that works “behind the scenes” to move all aspects of AWESOME forward.
Cheryl Harbour, DSC Logistics’ Chief Communications Advisor, collaborated with Ann Drake on the original vision of AWESOME and continues to be involved as a key creative partner in concept development, program planning and communications. She is an experienced strategic marketing executive and consultant who develops comprehensive communications programs for corporate clients as well as not-for-profit organizations.
Jennifer Nix, Vice President of Strategy and Communications for DSC Logistics, had the leadership role in planning and developing AWESOME sessions at the 2014 global conference of CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals) — September 21-24 in San Antonio, Texas. Jen’s background includes customer relationship development, marketing communications, human resources and project management, and she is a member of DSC Logistics’ Women’s Leadership Council.
Tracy Drake is a key member of the team that organized the first AWESOME Symposium. In her role as DSC Logistics’ Senior Director of Events and Diversity, she focuses on event management and coordinates initiatives related to DSC’s role as a leading woman-owned business. Tracy was Director of Marketing Communications for seven years and is a member of DSC Logistics’ Women’s Leadership Council.
Mary Cline, DSC Logistics’ Senior Manager, Marketing Communications, is a marketing professional with experience in event management, research, media relations, and advertising. As AWESOME Administrator, she serves as the primary contact for AWESOME inquiries (firstname.lastname@example.org), contributes to the broad reach of AWESOME through research and writing, and maintains database information for the AWESOME professional network. She is a member of DSC Logistics’ Women’s Leadership Council.
Dawn Edwards, DSC Logistics’ Senior Manager, Digital Communications, has helped create and manage the visual branding of DSC Logistics for more than 25 years. She applies her talent and experience as the designer and production expert for all AWESOME materials and events and provides ongoing creative input and support for DSC. Dawn also is website coordinator for both DSC and AWESOME.
Joanna Drake is a serial entrepreneur who has co-founded and run a variety of pioneering social media and entertainment companies, including Current TV and DeNA West. As Vice Chair of the DSC Logistics’ Advisory Board of Directors, she brings her vast Silicon Valley network and experience to help extend the AWESOME network and its digital presence, as well as consulting on other projects.
