Dear AWESOME Supply Chain friends,
I heard from many of you after the announcement of my C200 Award and I appreciate your well wishes.
As you may know, the past year has been one of tremendous change. In February we launched a new corporate identity for DSC Logistics and in June, announced we had forged an arrangement with CJ Logistics. Both of these were aimed at taking the company I’ve led for nearly 25 years to the next level as a global leader in supply chain management.
Through all of those 25 years, it was often my women’s networks that were the greatest source of support. Those women were my role models, my inspiration, my confidants, my advisors. I learned from them and eventually, I believe they learned from me, too. They encouraged me – and I, in turn, encouraged them.
We have something in common, you and I. We rose to our leadership roles through a predominantly male field. Sometimes it was lonely – but it doesn’t have to be lonely anymore.
People have asked if I intend to stay involved with AWESOME and I absolutely do. I look forward to our seventh Symposium in the spring and to connecting with more of you at that time and between now and then.
I’d like to say to you what I said to the women of C200: Together, let’s make sure our organization remains the source and the power for women’s supply chain leadership and for helping tomorrow’s women leaders to make an impact on our world.
Warm regards,
Ann
