The fourth annual AWESOME Symposium on April 27-29, 2016, will feature a combination of signature sessions and new concept discussions based on the Symposium theme: Creating an AWESOME Future – Challenge/Innovate/Lead. Since the first Symposium in 2013, AWESOME has presented discussions by a diverse range of leaders – from leading women in supply chain to leading men in supply chain to C-Suite leaders in other professions. This year’s panel line-up also includes a session developed by 2016 Symposium Host Partner NIKE, Inc featuring ground-breaking women sports figures.

Four panel discussions will take place on Thursday, April 28, in addition to Up Close Conversations and “Buzz” sessions, interactive discussions that take place among participants between panel discussions.
The Symposium will begin with a panel of senior supply chain women sharing their ideas about driving innovation and why supply chain innovation is critical to business success.

Next will be a discussion about what it will take to accelerate progress and achieve gender parity in corporate leadership roles by 2030– and the panel members for this discussion are leading supply chain men.

This year’s panel line-up also includes a session developed by 2016 Symposium Host Partner NIKE, Inc featuring ground-breaking women sports figures.

For the fourth session, a panel of C-suite leaders and Board of Directors members from other fields will focus on what they have learned and what is required to move beyond supply chain leadership into to C-suite and Board positions.
