Five members of the AWESOME network discussed “Winning the War for Talent: Unleashing the Leadership Potential of Women in Supply Chain,” at the BG Strategic Advisors Supply Chain Conference, January 20-22, in Palm Beach.

Panelists included Ann Drake, CEO of DSC Logistics and founder of AWESOME (Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management and Education); Jill Lavitsky, VP, Customer & Logistics Services-North America, Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems; Natalie Putnam, VP Marketing, Ryder System, Inc., and an AWESOME Advisor; and Heather Sheehan, AWESOME Director of Member Engagement and Sponsorships and former VP Sourcing & Logistics, Danaher Corporation. Dr. Nancy Nix, Executive Director of AWESOME, served as moderator for the discussion.

The discussion addressed questions such as: What can companies do to unleash the full leadership potential of women in the workplace? What steps can leaders take to attract and develop diverse talent in today’s competitive environment? What role can AWESOME play to support companies in their talent development initiatives and help individuals develop their leadership skills and advance their careers?
