NASSTRAC (National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council) has selected Morton Salt as the 16th annual “Shipper of the Year.” Morton’s VP of Supply Chain, Betsey Nohe, an AWESOME leader, served as executive sponsor for the change project that earned the selection — a complete modernization of Morton’s transportation bidding processes.
According to an article by John D. Schulz in Logistics Management, “The company revamped its truckload bid processes and opened up its entire transportation network to bring transparency into all lanes.”
Betsey is quoted in the article as saying, “Our North American carrier bid is part of a comprehensive strategy to design and implement an effective and efficient logistics network at Morton Salt.”
