AWESOME is alerting network members to two opportunities to nominate outstanding young women in your organization for industry recognition. Raising the visibility of women’s supply chain leadership is one of AWESOME’s key goals. The two opportunities come from The Institute of Supply Management and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.

The Institute of Supply Management is accepting nominations for its 30 Under 30 Rising Supply Chain Stars Recognition Program and the deadline for nominations is December 31, 2016. CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals) also selects outstanding up-and-coming leaders, age 30 and under, to receive its Emerging Leader Award for their early and substantive contributions to the supply chain industry. That deadline for nominations is May 15, 2017.

AWESOME encourages you to recognize your young women rising stars by submitting nominations.

For the ISM recognition, nominees must be actively employed in a supply chain management role and be between the ages of 18 and 30 as of December 31, 2016. Read more about eligibility and requirements.

Among the 30 young professionals honored in 2015, 12 (40%) were women.

CSCMP selects several individuals each year who are honored at the CSCMP annual conference. Read more about the nominating process.
