In addition to a session and a mega session powered by AWESOME at the CSCMP’s 2016 Annual Conference on September 25-28, two other panel discussions will feature an AWESOME Advisor as a panelist and a third session will include a panelist who is a 2016 AWESOME Scholar.
On Tuesday, September 26, from 2 – 3:15 pm, Heather Sheehan, AWESOME’s Director, Member Engagement & Sponsorships and 2014 recipient of the AWESOME Legendary Leadership (ALL) Award will participate in “Supply Chain Leader: If I Knew Then What I Know Now,” a discussion moderated by CSCMP President and CEO Rick Blasgen. Other members of that panel include Abre Pienaar, Chief Executive Officer, iPlan Global, and Roger Woody, Executive Lecturer, Director Supply Chain Center of Excellence, University of Kansas.
AWESOME Advisor Mary Long, former VP Logistics & Network Planning, Dominos, is a panelist for the session on “Creating Effective Supply Chain and Sourcing Networks” taking place on Tuesday, September 27 from 3:45 – 5 pm. The session, moderated by Rich Wilson, Director, Fruit Planning and Contract Manufacturing Systems and Analytics, The J.M. Smucker Company, will feature, as panelists, Ron Hord, VP Fruit & Contract Manufacturing Supply Chain, The J.M. Smucker Company, and Bobby Marinov, Vice President Strategic Sourcing and Field Service, MacDonald’s Corporation.
Also on Tuesday, September 27, from 2 – 3:15 pm, AWESOME Scholar Kyani Alford, an intern with Nestle Purina and student at the University of Arkansas, will take part in a session on “Women in Logistics and SCM: Talent Development and B2C Impacts on SCM in an Omni-channel World.” Other panelists include Martha Cooper, Professor Emeritus, The Ohio State University; Terry Esper, Oren Harris Chair in Logistics and Associate Professor, University of Arkansas Walton College of Business; Hannah Stolze, Assistant Professor, Wheaton College; and Macy Roe, Intern, Colgate Palmolive.
