Sheryl says when she left Google, she had a lot of offers from various companies to be a CEO, but she took the job as COO at Facebook because of the company’s growth prospects.
She recalls giving a graduation address at Barnard and telling the female graduates, “There’s an ambition gap. You are less ambitious than the men graduating (now). If we don’t close the ambition gap, we can’t close the achievement gap.”
